The Father's Face

The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy

The face is the anterior facet of the head which shows human emotion. And the word face is derived from the Latin word facia which means “image, form, and figure”. For man is made in the image of the Father. For “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27)

The face is the anterior facet of the head which displays human emotion. And the word face is derived from the Latin word facia which means “image and form”. For man was made in the image of God. For “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27) But the God’s face was hidden from man in the beginning. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.” (Genesis 1:1-2) And though man’s face would enter the Garden, he would fail at the beginning, thus man has been subject to the toils of this earth. “By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, till you return to the ground, because from it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” (Genesis 3:19) Thus man’s face has been subject to murder and death. “Cain said to the LORD, ‘My punishment is too great to bear! Behold, You have driven me this day from the face of the ground; and from Your face I will be hidden, and I will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.’” (Genesis 4:13-15) And because of man’s great wickedness, God removed man from the face of the earth. “Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. The LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. The LORD said, ‘I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.” (Genesis 6:5-7) “Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky, and they were blotted out from the earth”. (Genesis 7:23)
